Starting August 1, 2016, Autodesk will be introducing a new way to acquire software.
They’re called “Autodesk Industry Collections”, and they’re broken down into three parts:
• Architecture, Engineering & Construction Collection
• Product Design Collection
• Media & Entertainment Collection
Each collection will include a variety of familiar Autodesk products such as Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks Manage, as well as access to cloud services and new technology offered by Autodesk.
While Collections are on their way, you have until July 31, 2016, to buy new and additional perpetual licenses and maintenance subscriptions, which will be able to be switched for collections later on. Further, if you need a specific product not included in your Collection, you’ll still be able to subscribe to individual products for 3 month and 1-2-3 year segments.
